Dhanya Ravi from Bengaluru keeps up her smile despite her fragile body and restricted movements. In her 32 years, a rare genetic disorder from birth gave her more than 200 broken bones. Now a disability evangelist, Ravi champions the importance of staying positive. “Celebrating life is not easy until we come together to break biases against disabilities and take action for equality,” says Ravi. Archana Hosangadi was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 when she was doing a self-examination. She battled it through with eight cycles of chemotherapy, 25 cycles of radiation therapy and pure grit.

About three-and-a-half years ago, when doctors said, "You cannot cycle again", Brigadier Narendra Singh Chaarag was shattered and disheartened. An Indian Army officer and an avid cyclist, he wondered if he would be confined to his bed for the rest of his life, after sustaining fractures in his body which included bladder injury, rupture of the small intestine and large intestine in a tragic accident. However, defying all odds and challenges, the 55-year-old brigadier recently led a 3,600km cycling expedition covering different states from Kanyakumari to Delhi. He completed this incredible feat along with a 13-member contingent of NCC girl cadets.
