Tanya is a young person that decided to pioneer youth mental health awareness during the pandemic from her bedroom by founding a youth-led peer community Championing Youth Minds. She has lived with depression and anxiety from a young age after developing long-term disabilities, Fibromyalgia and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. She has experienced suicidal crisis and loss herself which has meant she is passionate about suicide prevention, particularly for young people. Navigating mental health support as a young female in the South Asian community has especially been a challenge due to the stigma and superstitions attached to mental health, therefore she advocates for mental health education and suicide prevention to recognise the intersectionality of identities and cultural factors.

About three-and-a-half years ago, when doctors said, "You cannot cycle again", Brigadier Narendra Singh Chaarag was shattered and disheartened. An Indian Army officer and an avid cyclist, he wondered if he would be confined to his bed for the rest of his life, after sustaining fractures in his body which included bladder injury, rupture of the small intestine and large intestine in a tragic accident. However, defying all odds and challenges, the 55-year-old brigadier recently led a 3,600km cycling expedition covering different states from Kanyakumari to Delhi. He completed this incredible feat along with a 13-member contingent of NCC girl cadets.
